Clearview Township issues a variety of permits and licences to residents and businesses. Use the list below to learn more about the types of permits and licences that you can apply for.

Clearview Township currently enforces animal licensing for dogs, kennels, backyard chickens and exotic animals.
The Building Department is responsible for ensuring that construction and renovation projects in the Township are safe and adhere to municipal zoning by-laws, the Ontario Building Code and any applicable health and safety regulations.
Permits issued by the Building Department include: general building permits, sign permits, pool fence permits, demolition permits and sewage system permits.
All property owners, interested in having an outdoor fire in Clearview Township are required to purchase a Burn Permit. Permits cost $10 per property and are valid for the calendar year.
This permit allows for the construction of a new entrance or changes to an existing entrance. Completed Applications to be sent to bmazaris@clearview.ca.
This is an application for event organizers to obtain permission to restrict the use of Clearview Township roadways. The completed application should be submitted to the Public Works Administrative Assistant at fbreedon@clearview.ca.
Intended for applying for a permit to transport an excess size load on Township roads. Completed Applications to be sent to bmazaris@clearview.ca.
This permit allows vendors of food, merchandise or services to sell on lands owned by the Township for events, or at locations, approved by the Township.
This is a permit to allow for the change in grade as a result of landscaping or general construction work on a property. The grading permit ensure that surface drainage on adjacent lots is not affected by the work performed within this permit. The completed application should be submitted to the Public Works Administrative Assistant at fbreedon@clearview.ca.
As permitted by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Clearview Township has the authority to issue lottery licences for:
- Break Open Tickets for local organizations; and
- Raffle and Blanket Lotteries for total prizes of $50,000 and under
- Bingo events with prize boards of up to $5,500
Municipal Consent requests allows for the construction of infrastructure or changes to any existing infrastructure on Township right of way, all requests are to be sent to municipalconsent@clearview.ca for approval
This is a permit that is issued by Clearview Township to accommodate the application of Special Occasion Permit through the LCBO.

The Oversize Load Permit is for anyone who wishes to move a vehicle, trailer or items that is wider or larger than the Ministry of Transportation guidelines on Clearview Township roads .

This permit allows for the large scale public display of fireworks.
A Road Occupancy permit is required whenever there is any type of work or activity on Road Right of Way which will interrupt normal traffic flow, cause safety concerns, or change existing conditions including: Construction on private property in which the right-of-way is used for staging equipment.
