Whereas, volunteers are the backbone of our community, contributing their time, talent, and energy to improve the lives of others and strengthen the fabric of our society; and,
Whereas, volunteers in the Township of Clearview serve in vital roles, including mentoring youth, supporting seniors, protecting our environment, managing emergency services, and enhancing community events; and,
Whereas, these dedicated individuals embody the spirit of compassion and service, contributing significantly to a more vibrant, inclusive, and compassionate place to live; and,
Whereas, National Volunteer Week is a time to thank, celebrate, and recognize the invaluable contributions of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds; and,
Now Therefore, I, Doug Measures, Mayor of Clearview Township, do hereby proclaim April 19 through to April 25, 2026, as National Volunteer Week, and urge my fellow citizens to recognize the crucial role played by volunteers in our community.
